2013'e Veda, 2014'e Merhaba :)

Michael Schumacher

Spor dünyası bugüne kadar pek çok efsanevi sporcu gördü. Pele, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, ve Maradona akla gelen ilk isimler. Elbette bir de o var : Michael Schumacher.

Sporun her dalında “efsane” olarak adlandırılan isimler daima yetenekleri ve kapasiteleri hususlarında eleştirilmiş, bu konular üzerinde derin tartışmalar yapılmıştır. Sadece bir kişide, Michael Schumacher üzerinde herkes hemfikirdir, onun gelmiş geçmiş en yetenekli sporcu olduğu konusunda.

Michael Schumacher’in yarış kariyeri 5 yaşında iken başlar. Almanya’da minikler go – kart şampiyonu olur. Bugün Formula 1’in resmi internet sitesine baktığınızda Schumacher için “istatistiksel açıdan gelmiş geçmiş en başarılı pilot” yazısını görürsünüz. Schumi sayesinde insanlar imkansız gibi görünen şeylerin mümkün olduğuna inanmıştır. 1994 yılında Benetton takımı ile ilk kez Formula 1 şampiyonu olduğunda her şeyin para olmadığını kanıtlamıştı Schumacher. 1995 yılında üst üste ikinci kez şampiyon olduğunda ise şu mesajı vermişti tüm dünyaya : “Benim adımı unutamayacaksınız.”

1999 yılında Schumacher Silverstone pistinde duvara çarpıp sağ bacağını kırdığında tüm sporseverlerin kafasında aynı şey vardı : “Senna gibi mi olacak sonu?”

Ancak Michael buna izin vermeyecekti. Sedyede taşınırken eliyle yaptığı “iyiyim” işareti herkesin yüreğine su serpmişti. Ertesi sezon dönüş yaptığında herkeste soru işaretleri vardı. Eskisi gibi olabilecek miydi? Hayır, olamadı. DAHA İYİSİ OLDU!

2000 – 2004 yılları arasında arka arkaya 5 kez şampiyon oldu Schumi. Kısacası, eskisi gibi olur mu diye soranlara en güzel cevabı pistte verdi.

Kariyeri sona erdiğinde 7 şampiyonluk kazanmıştı Michael Schumacher. 91 kez de Grand Prix zaferi elde ettiğini unutmayalım.

Bizlere onu neden bu kadar çok seviyorsunuz diyorlar. 7 kez şampiyon olduğu ya da 91 yarış kazandığı için değil. Her zaman heyecan uyandırdığı için. Karakteri ile gönülleri fethettiği için. Asla vazgeçmediği için. Yoksa 8-10 yaşında çocuklar bile Cumartesi – Pazar günleri sabahın 5’inde 6’sında kalkıp da ekranın başına kurulup onu hayranlıkla izlemezlerdi.

Bugün Michael Schumacher hastanede ve komada. Kayak yaparken başına aldığı darbeler sonucunda doktorlar tarafından uyutuluyor. Ciddi hayati tehlikesi olduğu açıklandı. Ama onu tanıyanlar biliyor ki o çok büyük bir karakter. O asla vazgeçmeyecek. Henüz 44 yaşında Schumi ve bu Cuma (3 Ocak 2014) onun doğum günü.

Gözünü açmanı ve elinle “ben iyiyim” işareti yapmanı bekliyoruz şampiyon..

Şafak vakti başladı her şey. Dingo’nun ahırından çıkıp gelen katiller yok etmeye geldi aydınlığı. Aydınlık uyuyordu. Caniler için çok kolay olacaktı. Ama unuttukları bir şey vardı.
